Site conversations
Plan toolbox talks, R U OK? Day activities, pre-start messages and worker engagement that fit the crew and the work.
Health in the HSEQ4U framework
Good work starts with people who can raise concerns, look out for one another and reach support early. HSEQ4U helps project teams turn that intention into everyday site practice.
Discuss your teamPsychological health sits alongside critical risk controls, occupational health, first aid and worker engagement. Conversations, supervisor responses and support pathways should be planned with the same care as other controls.
Practical support
Set a tone where people know how to start a conversation and what to do next.
Plan toolbox talks, R U OK? Day activities, pre-start messages and worker engagement that fit the crew and the work.
Help leaders recognise concerns, listen without judgement, protect privacy and connect a person with appropriate support.
Bring training-informed awareness to site discussions and improve the team's confidence to respond to someone who may need help.
Connect psychosocial risks, consultation, incident learning and support pathways with existing WHS systems and review actions.
Championing wellbeing on site
Across project assignments, wellbeing has been part of the way work is led, not a one-day poster. At RTL Mining & Earthworks, Sebastian led R U OK? Day engagement with the team. At Cohuna Solar Farm, he supported R U OK? Day discussions in the work environment.
He also took part in The Push-Up Challenge with Laing O’Rourke and the Heart Foundation Step Challenge. Those activities offered a practical way to bring colleagues together, talk about mental and physical health, and keep support visible beyond the campaign day.
HSEQ4U can help a project build a sensible program of conversations, supervisor guidance and signposting to specialist resources, including MATES in Construction where relevant.
